Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness leading to the X337 Pneumatic brake ParkLock solenoid for chafing, pinched wires, or melted insulation that could cause a short to ground.
Disconnect the solenoid and check the connector pins for corrosion, moisture, or debris bridging the terminals.
With the solenoid disconnected, use a multimeter to check the harness-side power wire for continuity to ground to verify if the harness is shorted.
Measure the resistance across the pins of the solenoid itself. A reading near zero ohms indicates the solenoid coil is internally shorted.
Repair steps
Safety First
Park the tractor on a level surface, chock the wheels (since you are working on the park brake system), and disconnect the negative battery terminal.
Access the Valve Block
Locate the transmission hydraulic/pneumatic control valve block where the X337 ParkLock solenoid is mounted.
Remove the Faulty Solenoid
Disconnect the electrical connector from the solenoid. Remove the retaining nut/screws holding the solenoid coil to the valve stem.
Install the New Solenoid
Slide the new solenoid coil over the valve stem and secure it with the retaining hardware.
Reconnect and Reassemble
Plug the electrical connector back in, ensuring the weather seal is intact.
Clear Codes and Test
Reconnect the battery. Use a diagnostic tool to clear the P35 code from the TRANS1 module. Start the tractor, build up pneumatic pressure, and cycle the park brake to ensure the fault does not return and the brake engages/disengages properly.
