   Safely bleed all compressed air from the tractor's pneumatic braking circuit to prevent injury.

   Locate the pneumatic trailer brake control manifold (typically mounted near the rear axle/transmission housing). Identify the X339 solenoid valve on the block.

   Disconnect the electrical harness connector from the X339 solenoid. Remove the retaining screws or locking nut holding the solenoid coil/valve assembly to the pneumatic block. Carefully extract the solenoid valve, ensuring no dirt enters the pneumatic system.

   Lubricate the O-rings on the new solenoid valve with the appropriate pneumatic grease. Insert the new X339 solenoid valve into the manifold and tighten the retaining fasteners to the specified torque. Reconnect the electrical harness.
