Massey Ferguson R37 – HITCH: Rear Hitch Module Calibration Issue
Issue description

Check the cause
Attach a weight of approximately 200 kg (440 lbs) to the rear linkage.
Position the tractor in an open area where the linkage can operate freely. Ensure no one can enter the area of linkage travel during the procedure.
Ensure that the linkage can physically move through its entire operating range, between its highest and lowest mechanical stops.
Check the external fender controls. Ensure that pressing the lifting switch raises the linkage all the way to its mechanical stop (you should hear a hydraulic pump throttling sound when it bottoms out).
If the linkage is locked and it is impossible to change its position, reset the linkage by pressing the Shock Absorber switch 5 times in quick succession to force default values.
Repair steps
Ensure preliminary checks are complete
Ensure the preliminary checks (weight attached, clear travel path) are complete.
Access diagnostic interface
Access the tractor's diagnostic interface via the Datatronic terminal (e.g., Datatronic 3 or 5) or using the dealer Wintest diagnostic tool.
Navigate to calibration menu
Navigate to the Dual Control / Hitch Calibration menu.
Cycle hitch
Follow the on-screen prompts to cycle the hitch through its lowest and highest points. The controller will record the sensor voltages at these extremes to establish the new operating parameters.
Save and verify
Save the calibration and cycle the tractor's key power to verify the R37 code has cleared.
