Massey Ferguson T4127 – Transmission Control Module (TRANS): X10 - Collecting shaft speed sensor Signal error

The transmission controller has detected an invalid signal, a loss of signal, or an 8.5 V supply error to the X10 Collecting shaft speed sensor. This loss of data prevents the transmission from accurately determining the hydrostatic drive's speed and direction, which can result in limp mode or erratic transmission behavior.

   Verify the X10 sensor is receiving the correct 8.5 V reference voltage from the transmission controller (addresses 8.5 V supply error cause)

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector between the X10 sensor and the transmission control module for chafed wires, melted insulation, or corrosion

   Check for corroborating codes such as T4131 or T4142 that point to the same sensor

   Remove the sensor and inspect the magnetic tip for excessive metallic debris; clean and re-test before condemning

   Park and secure tractor

   Park the tractor on a flat, level surface, engage the ParkLock/parking brake, and turn off the engine.

   Locate sensor

   Locate the X10 Collecting shaft speed sensor on the DYNA-VT transmission housing.

   Clean area

   Thoroughly clean the area around the sensor base to prevent any dirt or debris from falling into the transmission housing during removal.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector from the sensor.

   Remove retaining bolt

   Remove the retaining bolt holding the sensor in place.

   Remove old sensor

   Carefully pull the old sensor straight out of the transmission housing.

   Lubricate new sensor

   Lubricate the O-ring on the new sensor with clean transmission hydraulic oil.

   Install new sensor

   Insert the new sensor into the housing port and secure it with the retaining bolt, tightening to the manufacturer's specified torque.

   Reconnect harness

   Reconnect the electrical harness connector until it clicks securely.

    Test and clear code

    Turn on the tractor, use a diagnostic tool to clear the T4127 fault code, and perform a test drive to ensure the transmission shifts smoothly and the code does not return.
