   Check Transmission Oil Level: Verify the level using the sight glass or dipstick, as low fluid is a primary cause of overheating.

   Inspect Oil Quality: Check if the transmission oil is polluted, degraded, or smells burnt.

   Check the Transmission Oil Cooler: Ensure the transmission oil radiator/cooler is free of dirt, chaff, and debris that could block airflow.

   Inspect the Transmission Filter: Check for a blocked filter restricting oil flow. Look for a concurrent fault code (e.g., T4156) triggered by the X20 Transmission filter blockage switch.

   Test the X19 Sensor: Verify the wiring harness and connector to the X19 Transmission hydraulic oil temperature sensor for shorts or damaged wires causing a false high-temperature signal.

   Clean the Cooling System

   Thoroughly blow out the transmission oil cooler and radiator fins with compressed air to ensure maximum cooling efficiency.

   Correct the Fluid Level

   If the transmission oil is low, top it up with the approved AGCO Dyna-VT transmission fluid.

   Service the Transmission Fluid and Filter

   If the oil is degraded or the filter is blocked, drain the transmission oil. Replace the transmission oil filter element and refill the system with fresh, approved transmission fluid.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the cooling system is clean, the fluid is full and fresh, and the code persists (or if the sensor tests out of specification), locate the X19 Transmission hydraulic oil temperature sensor on the transmission housing.

   Disconnect harness

   Disconnect the electrical harness from the X19 sensor.

   Install new sensor

   Unthread the old sensor (be prepared to catch a small amount of fluid) and install the new sensor.

   Test and verify

   Reconnect the harness, clear the fault codes using a diagnostic tool, and test drive the tractor under load to verify the transmission temperature remains within the normal operating range.
