   Verify software versions across the tractor's modules (SRC, terminal, VD03, receiver) for compatibility mismatches.

   Inspect the connections at the transmission controller (X598 58-pin or X174 96-pin) for corrosion, moisture, or bent pins that could interrupt data transfer.

   Check for accompanying CAN network initialization errors (such as T41B0 or T41A2), which indicate a communication failure rather than a strict programming failure.

   Ensure transmission fluid levels are correct and filters are not blocked, as low fluid or pressure can trigger secondary transmission faults.

   Connect Diagnostic Tool

   Connect the Massey Ferguson EDT (Electronic Diagnostic Tool) to the tractor's diagnostic port (X888/X183).

   Re-flash / Update Software

   Attempt to re-flash the EXT Lite / Autotronic 4 transmission controller with the latest OEM software version to resolve the internal software issue.

   Perform Calibrations

   If the re-flash is successful, perform all necessary transmission calibrations (such as drive pedal and clutch pedal calibrations, which are associated with the T41E-series codes).

   Replace Controller

   If the controller will not accept the programming, or if the EDT indicates an internal hardware failure (such as RAM/EEPROM failure, code T41CF), the transmission controller module must be physically replaced.

   Program New Module

   If replaced, the new controller must be programmed to match the tractor's specific hardware and software package.
