Massey Ferguson T41ED – Transmission Control Module (X174 - EXT Lite transmission controller): Clutch Pedal Not Calibrated DYNA VT (TRANS)

The transmission controller has lost the calibration reference values (the fully released and fully depressed positions) for the clutch pedal sensor (X68). Without these calibrated limits, the Dyna-VT transmission cannot accurately interpret operator inputs from the foot pedal.

   Check for secondary electrical fault codes (e.g., D139, D140, D142) related to the X68 clutch pedal sensor

   Inspect the wiring harness and connector at the clutch pedal potentiometer (X68) for corrosion, loose pins, or chafed wires

   Ensure physical travel of the clutch pedal is not obstructed by cab debris, a thick floor mat, or a damaged return spring

   Attempt Calibration

   Recalibrate the clutch pedal by accessing the calibration menu via the tractor's DOT Matrix instrument panel display or by using the Massey Ferguson dealer diagnostic tool.

   Execute the Learn Procedure

   Follow the on-screen prompts to calibrate the clutch pedal sensor (usually found under section 8.2.1 in the service manual). Leave the pedal fully released, acknowledge the position, and then hold the pedal fully depressed and acknowledge the position.

   Replace the Sensor

   If the calibration procedure fails to complete, or if the D139/D140 electrical fault codes are present and the wiring is intact, the clutch pedal potentiometer (X68) has an internal failure and must be replaced.

   Final Calibration

   After installing a new sensor, you must perform the clutch pedal calibration procedure again to clear the T41ED code and restore normal Dyna-VT operation.
