Massey Ferguson T41F1 – TRANS: Transmission Calibration Issue DYNA VT (TRANS) / Active Stop fault

Transmission ratio outside the authorised range. The transmission controller has detected that the actual physical transmission ratio does not match the commanded ratio, or the transmission has lost its calibration parameters for the Active Stop function.

   Check the transmission/hydraulic oil level for low or aerated oil, which can cause ratio control issues

   Check the transmission oil filter for blockages, as a restricted filter can cause pressure drops preventing the transmission from holding the correct ratio

   Check for accompanying active transmission codes (e.g., T101/T102 for forward/reverse solenoid valves or speed sensor faults) that would prevent calibration

   Warm Up

   Ensure the tractor is parked on a level surface and the transmission fluid is warmed up to normal operating temperature.

   Access Calibration Menu

   Access the transmission calibration menu through the onboard Datatronic/Command Centre display or by connecting an authorized diagnostic tool (such as the AGCO EDT or Jaltest).

   Run Calibration

   Initiate the Dyna-VT transmission calibration procedure. The system will typically require you to calibrate the forward travel lever on the armrest, the FingerTIP controls, and the joystick.

   Verify Active Stop

   The system will run through the transmission ratios to relearn the 'Active Stop' parameters. Keep your foot ready on the brake and follow all on-screen prompts.

   Clear Codes

   If the calibration completes successfully, cycle the key and clear the T41F1 fault code.

   Hardware Troubleshooting

   If the calibration aborts or the code immediately returns, test the transmission speed sensors and the forward/reverse proportional solenoid valves for electrical shorts or mechanical sticking.
