Massey Ferguson V111 – Mid Mount Valve Module / Autotronic 5: External Hydraulic Valve 1 Issue
Issue description
Malfunction within the first external hydraulic remote valve circuit. The underlying condition is typically an electrical connection problem to the hydraulic valve actuator, a failure of the spool position sensor, or a mechanical failure preventing the valve from operating correctly.

Check the cause
Inspect the wiring harness and connector at External Hydraulic Valve 1 for corrosion, backed-out pins, or wire chafing.
Check the spool position sensor values using a compatible diagnostic scan tool or Wintest software to see if the sensor is reading out of range.
Verify that there is active communication between the Dash and the Mid Mount Valve Module.
Clear the DTCs using the diagnostic interface and operate the hydraulic remote to see if the V111 code returns immediately (indicating a hard electrical fault) or under load (indicating a mechanical/pressure issue).
Repair steps
Preparation
Turn off the tractor, relieve all hydraulic pressure, and disconnect the battery.
Removal
Disconnect the electrical harness from the External Hydraulic Valve 1 actuator. Unbolt and remove the faulty hydraulic valve spool assembly from the valve stack.
Cleaning
Clean the mounting surface mechanically (using a wire brush or emery cloth) or chemically to remove all traces of previous sealants and corrosion. Degrease the components with a dry solvent.
Installation
Install the new genuine Massey Ferguson external hydraulic valve. If utilizing blind tapped holes, apply the recommended Loctite product to the threads. Torque all bolts to the specifications outlined in the service manual.
Reconnection
Reconnect the hydraulic lines and plug in the electrical harness.
Bleeding & Calibration
Refill any lost hydraulic fluid with oil approved by Massey Ferguson (e.g., complying with standard MF CMS M1143 or CMS M1144). Bleed the hydraulic system to remove trapped air. Finally, use the tractor's diagnostic system (Autotronic 5 / Wintest) to calibrate the new valve and rear linkage.
Parts you might need

1026699M92Ensure you are sourcing genuine Massey Ferguson (AGCO) parts, as fitting aftermarket hydraulic valves can invalidate the tractor warranty and compromise the Autotronic system's safety and calibration features. Verify the exact part number against your specific model's serial number, as valve stack configurations vary between the 5600 and 7600 series.
