   Inspect the Solenoid Connector: Locate External Hydraulic Valve 1 at the rear remote stack and check the electrical connector for corrosion, moisture, or loose pins.

   Check the Wiring Harness: Trace the wiring back from the valve to the controller. Look for harness rub points, broken wires (open circuits), or shorts to ground.

   Test Coil Resistance: Use a multimeter to measure the resistance of the valve's solenoid coil to ensure it is within specification and not burnt out.

   Verify Power and Ground: Check for overall electrical power issues, such as low voltage during operation or poor ground integrity, which can cause the controller to throw valve errors.

   Identify Valve 1

   Navigate to the Datatronic 5 screen (or equivalent display) to confirm which physical rear remote is assigned as 'Valve 1'.

   Electrical Repair

   If the diagnostic checks reveal a wiring issue, repair the damaged harness section or replace the faulty solenoid coil on the valve.

   Valve Replacement/Reseal

   If the electrical circuit is sound but the valve is sticking or leaking, the hydraulic system must be depressurized. The valve assembly must then be unbolted from the hydraulic lift cover or valve stack.

   Install the new valve or seals, torque to spec, reconnect the solenoid harness, and clear the fault codes using a compatible diagnostic tool.
