   Inspect the wiring harness routing to Valve 5 for frame rub points, sharp brackets, and oil intrusion. Wiggle-test the harness while watching the voltage or fault status on a diagnostic tool.

   Measure the coil resistance of the Valve 5 solenoid and compare it to a known good valve (e.g., Valve 4). Verify the power supply at the solenoid with the function commanded on.

   Confirm the 5V reference and ground at the position sensor connector. Check the signal sweep for smooth changes without dropouts. If the sensor reads fine at rest but fails in motion, suspect a loose connector pin fit.

   Inspect the mechanical valve linkage for binding, debris, or physical damage that could prevent the spool from returning to neutral.

   Check for clogged or collapsed hydraulic filters, which can cause pressure-related faults and cavitation.

   Turn off the tractor, lower all implements to the ground, and relieve all hydraulic pressure from the system.

   Locate the external hydraulic valve stack at the rear of the tractor.

   Secure the valve to the base plate with the securing bolts and torque to OEM specifications.
