Valtra L419: PTO Clutch Overpressure with Low Shaft Rotation Speed

Issue description

The PTO clutch has been subjected to full pressure for more than 3 seconds, but the PTO shaft is rotating at a lower speed than expected. This may indicate that the PTO clutch is slipping.

Check the cause

  1. The PTO clutch engagement mechanism

  2. The PTO shaft rotation speed sensor

  3. The pressure supply to the PTO clutch

Repair steps

  1. Inspect the PTO clutch for signs of wear or damage

Check the PTO clutch for any visible signs of wear, damage, or improper engagement.

  2. Verify the PTO shaft rotation speed

Use the appropriate diagnostic tool to confirm the actual PTO shaft rotation speed and compare it to the expected value.

  3. Check the pressure supply to the PTO clutch

Ensure that the pressure being supplied to the PTO clutch is within the specified range and that there are no blockages or leaks.
