Yale 520260-4 – Engine Control Module (ECM): Electronic Pressure Regulator (EPR) OORL (Out of Range Low)

The voltage supply to the Electronic Pressure Regulator (EPR) has dropped below normal operating parameters, or the digital output assigned to this function is shorted to ground (low source).

   Run a fuel system diagnostic pressure check to ensure the primary regulator is functioning and not over-pressurizing the EPR.

   Check the multi-pin electrical connector at the EPR/MegaJector for damaged wires, corrosion, or a short to ground (low source) on the digital output circuit.

   Verify the voltage supply reaching the EPR at the connector. Low voltage indicates an issue in the wiring harness or ECM, while correct voltage with a persistent code indicates an internal circuitry fault in the EPR.

   Turn off the forklift, lower the forks, and disconnect the battery.

   Shut off the LPG tank valve and run the engine until it stalls to depressurize the fuel lines.

   Perform this if the engine still starts.

   Locate the Electronic Pressure Regulator (EPR) / MegaJector.

   It is typically located in the fuel line between the primary vaporizer/regulator and the fuel mixer (often directly behind the Impco unit, closer to the fan).

   Disconnect the multi-pin electrical connector from the EPR.

   Disconnect the LPG fuel hoses from the inlet and outlet of the EPR.

   Remove the mounting hardware securing the EPR to its bracket and remove the faulty unit.

   Install the new EPR / MegaJector, secure the mounting hardware, and reconnect the fuel lines tightly to prevent leaks.

   Reconnect the electrical harness.

   Open the LPG tank valve and check for leaks using a soapy water solution.

    Reconnect the battery, clear the fault codes using your diagnostic tool, and start the engine to verify the repair.
