Triggers when the signal voltage from the seat switch/operator presence sensor falls below the expected minimum threshold.

   Inspect the physical connection between the operator presence sensor (seat switch) and the controller to ensure it is secure and free of corrosion.

   Check the wiring harness for an open circuit on the sensor supply or signal wires.

   Inspect the wiring harness for any shorts to the sensor ground or the frame ground.

   Test the controller input voltages with a multimeter to verify if the controller is receiving the correct signal from the sensor.

   Repair or replace wiring harness

   Repair or replace the wiring harness if any shorts, open circuits, or physical damage are found during the diagnostic checks.

   Replace Operator Presence System Sensor

   If the wiring harness is intact and voltages are correct but the code persists, replace the Operator Presence System Sensor (Seat Switch).

   Replace controller module

   If the sensor and wiring are both confirmed to be in good working order, the issue lies within the controller. Test the controller input voltages and replace the controller module (VSM/ECU) if required.

   Clear error code and test machine

   Once the repair is complete, clear the error code from the lift truck's diagnostic system (this may require a dealer password to access the system menu) and test the machine to ensure the traction and hydraulic functions are restored.
