This clutch transmits drive torque from the gearbox to the cutting-section knife drive on a corn header. It sits between the main driveline and the reciprocating knife assembly, engaging and disengaging power to the cutting section. A worn or slipping clutch causes intermittent knife motion, leading to uneven stalk cutting and increased load on upstream driveline components. This original part is machined to the same engagement profile and spring rate as the factory assembly, so it maintains the correct slip torque without requiring shimming or adapter plates.
