This double chain is the drive component for the corn header attachment, transferring power from the gearbox to the gathering and snapping rolls. It is positioned on the side of the header and engages with the sprockets that synchronize the intake and conveying elements. A worn or stretched chain causes slip, leading to uneven crop feed and potential jams in the header throat. This original chain is manufactured to the same pitch and tensile rating as the factory assembly, ensuring correct engagement with the sprocket teeth without requiring adjustment to the tensioner beyond its normal range.
