The Castolin EutecTrode Xuper 690 is a high-performance, hydrogen-controlled welding electrode designed for joining and surfacing high-strength structural steels, fine-grain structural steels, and quenched and tempered steels. This 2.5mm diameter electrode, supplied in a 5kg pack (Part Number 100407CAS), offers excellent mechanical properties including high tensile strength (700-800 MPa), yield strength (550-650 MPa), and good elongation (>20%). It provides crack-resistant welds and is suitable for demanding applications requiring superior strength and toughness, even at low temperatures (-50°C). Classified as E 69 5 B 42 H5 (EN ISO 2560-A) and E10018-G (AWS A5.5), it operates with DC (+) or AC (min. 50V) current in all positions except vertical down.
