This pulley drives the threshing rotor or drum on the parent combine. It mounts on the threshing drive shaft and transmits rotational force from the engine or gearbox to the threshing mechanism. A worn pulley bore or keyway causes belt slippage and inconsistent rotor speed, which reduces threshing efficiency. The original pulley is machined to match the shaft diameter and keyway dimensions of the original assembly, so no bushing or adapter is required for installation.
