A worn bushing allows excessive play in the sieve suspension, which reduces cleaning efficiency and can cause uneven grain loss across the shoe. The rubber element is bonded to the inner and outer metal sleeves during manufacture, so the assembly must be pressed into the mounting bore as a unit. On replacement, ensure the bushing is fully seated in the bore before tightening the retaining hardware.
