This solenoid valve controls the flow of hydraulic fluid to an actuator or clutch pack within the forage harvester’s driveline. It receives an electrical signal from the machine’s control unit and opens or closes a pilot port, directing pressurized oil to shift the spool in the main directional valve. A worn or stuck solenoid causes delayed engagement or incomplete clutch lock-up, which can lead to belt slip or component overheating. The valve body and coil are sealed against moisture and debris ingress. When replacing, ensure the electrical connector is clean and fully seated, and verify that the O-ring on the valve body is intact before installation.
