This chain drives the roller assembly in a round baler, transmitting power from the gearbox to the compression rollers that form and rotate the bale. It is the original component, with pitch and link geometry matched to the sprockets on the roller shafts and the tensioner system. A worn or stretched chain causes uneven roller speed, leading to poor bale density and increased wear on the sprockets. On installation, adjust the tensioner to the specified slack and verify that the chain tracks centrally on all sprockets.
