This Donaldson hydraulic oil filter captures particulate from the hydraulic circuit before fluid reaches the pump and control valves. It sits in the return-side housing of the host tractor; trapped debris upstream protects the pump pistons and spool valves from abrasive wear. A clogged element forces the bypass valve open, sending unfiltered fluid through the system and accelerating component wear. The filter uses the manufacturer's specified media and pleat geometry to match the original housing's seal groove and bypass-valve cracking pressure. On reinstall, replace the housing O-ring and torque the cap to the specified value.
