This 50 Meter long net was developed by the experts at Gallagher, who have worldwide experience in wildlife deterrence, in cooperation with the German company Euronetz. The result is a net that stands out for its visibility, stability, and conductivity – exactly what you need to keep wolves and other wild animals away. The ultimate sheep net against wolves The blue net with white posts is highly visible to wild animals. The 10 horizontal strands ensure maximum effectiveness. Thanks to 6 copper conductors of 0,25 mm, the net has excellent current conduction of only 0,05 Ohm per Meter. In addition, 40 stainless steel conductors are distributed across the net. This makes it 14-times more conductive than a standard wolf net, leading to less power loss and higher voltage, especially when connecting multiple nets. The construction is practically designed with extra stable posts with double stainless steel tips for maximum stability and minimal sagging. Due to vertical reinforcements, the net does not sag between the posts and thus remains at the correct height. Developed from practice The posts in the net are 3 cm higher than the net itself. This was designed because in practice, the vertical reinforcements rest on the grass while the posts are pushed to the ground. This additional length compensates for this difference and ensures that the top wire runs straighter. The top wire is reinforced and particularly conductive. The bottom strand is also reinforced and equipped with conductors. This bottom strand can be used as an additional grounding option with a clamp on dry or stony ground. However, never connect this wire to a positive wire. A clever detail is the variable connection option for the second strand from the ground. In taller grass, this strand can be connected to the negative pole (ground) to avoid power losses and slightly increase the effectiveness of the lower strands. Are you laying the net in shorter grass? Then we recommend connecting the second strand to the third strand with the metal clip, making it a positive strand. All strands from the third strand onwards are positive strands. After rolling up, the net can be tied together with the three included hook-and-loop fasteners to keep it compact during transport or storage. A repair kit is supplied as standard for small repairs. Additional protection and safety In areas with high wildlife pressure or where horned animals such as deer or stags occur, Gallagher recommends combining the net with an outer fence with at least two strands. This additional barrier keeps wolves away and reduces the risk of horned animals getting caught in the net. For increased effectiveness, the net can also be combined with FoxLights.
