Thanks to the built-in lithium battery, this device is 30 % lighter and more compact than comparable models, making it not only more convenient, but also more powerful and reliable. The S16li delivers a voltage of 8 kV and, with an output of 0,16 Joule, is suitable for fences up to a length of 1,5 km. Thanks to intelligent adaptive energy monitoring, the Gallagher battery management system, the device remains functional even in times of low light. Thanks to the fully sealed housing and the magnetic rotary knob, the electronics and the battery are protected. Application note: Position the device with the solar module facing southwest and free of vegetation. Ground it with a 1 Meter long earth rod or a double earth rod of 2 x 0,5 m. Do not place it on the ground, but use the optional bracket ( 00711048 ) to attach it to a post or earth spike, or the stand ( 00711050 ) which can be inserted into the ground and simultaneously serves as an earth rod. The red and green cables with crocodile clips for connecting the device to the fences and the earth rod are included. After purchase or storage, first allow the device to fully charge for three days in daylight by placing it facing south in the switched-off state. Do this also if the red LED indicator shows that the battery is almost empty. For longer storage, keep the device in a dark, dry, and well-ventilated place.
