This V-belt transmits power from the engine to the threshing mechanism in a combine harvester. It runs on the pulleys that drive the threshing drum, which separates grain from the straw walkers and sieves downstream. A slipping or worn belt reduces drum speed, leading to incomplete threshing and higher grain loss out the back of the machine. The belt is manufactured to match the original cross-section and length so it seats correctly in the pulley grooves without requiring tensioner adjustment beyond the standard range.
