This V-belt transmits power from the engine or gearbox to the threshing drum within the combine. It sits in the primary drive path, converting rotational torque into the high-speed rotation needed for the threshing cylinder. A worn or slipping belt reduces drum speed, leading to incomplete grain separation and increased material carryover. As a Gates-manufactured component, it is molded to the original cross-section and length specification, which maintains the correct tension range without requiring oversized tensioners or idler modifications. On installation, verify the belt sits fully in the pulley grooves and adjust the tensioner to the manufacturer's specification.
