This V-belt transmits power from the engine to the driven components in the drive system of a self-propelled forage harvester. It is a multi-ribbed belt that engages with pulleys to transfer torque, maintaining the rotational speed required for the chopping and conveying assemblies. A worn or slipping belt reduces throughput and can cause inconsistent cutterhead speed, leading to uneven chop quality. The belt from Gates is manufactured to match the original profile and length, ensuring proper tension and pulley alignment without the need for additional shimming or modifications.
