This share point is the forward-facing tip of a cultivator tine that penetrates the soil and breaks up compacted layers. It mounts to the lower end of the tine shank and is secured with a plow bolt. As the tine is drawn through the field, the share point takes the primary wear load; a dull or worn point increases draft force and reduces the depth consistency of the following tine. The part is manufactured to match the original bolt-hole pattern and profile of the tine shoe, so no modification or shimming is required during replacement. On installation, use a new plow bolt and torque it to the specification for the tine assembly.
