This left-hand ploughshare is the ground-engaging component that cuts and turns the furrow slice on the left side of the plow body. It mounts to the plow frog and works in tandem with the mouldboard to invert the soil. The share tip and cutting edge experience the highest abrasion during operation; a worn edge increases draft force and produces an irregular furrow wall. As a replacement part, it is formed to the same profile as the original so that the bolt pattern aligns with the frog without modification. On installation, use new bolts and tighten to the specified torque.
