This drawbar ball connects the lower link arm of the three-point hitch to the implement. It sits in the ball socket at the end of the link arm and provides the pivot point for the implement's hitch pin. Wear on the ball surface or internal clearance leads to slop in the linkage, causing uneven implement tracking and increased stress on the hitch arms. The manufacturer machines this component to the original ball diameter and bore tolerance so it seats correctly in the socket without excessive free play.
