This left-side chisel mounts to the frame of a tillage machine and fractures compacted soil ahead of the following implement. It is a replaceable wear part that bolts directly to the frame beam; three mounting holes align with the corresponding holes on the bracket. As the chisel tip wears, the draft force required to pull the machine increases and the depth of soil penetration becomes inconsistent. The part is manufactured to the original frame geometry so the hole spacing matches the bracket without modification. On installation, tighten the mounting bolts to the specified torque and inspect the chisel tip for wear before each season.
