This oil seal is installed on the front axle of the host tractor. It prevents lubricant leakage and keeps contaminants out of the axle housing. A worn or hardened seal allows oil to escape, which can lead to bearing damage from insufficient lubrication. This component matches the original seal geometry to maintain proper contact pressure against the shaft. On installation, ensure the sealing lip is not damaged and that the bore is clean.
