Oil service valves are designed for pressureless oil drainage. When installed in a container or oil pan, a connector is screwed onto the valve after removing its protective cap. This action opens the valve plate, allowing fluid to drain. Once drainage is complete, unscrewing the connector closes the valve, and the protective cap can be replaced.
