If the driver fails to notice this warning when changing lanes or overtaking, a warning tone will also sound as soon as the direction indicator is activated. At the same time as the warning tone, the display flashes at the same change interval. The driver is thus warned and can abort the lane change in good time to avoid a potentially dangerous situation.
