When detecting natural gas, the alarm must be mounted 15-30 cm below the ceiling and with a maximum distance to a stove or gas appliances of 6 meters. To detect LPG (propane, etc.) the alarm must be mounted 15-30 cm above the floor with a maximum distance from the stove or gas appliances of 4 meters.
