This spherical plain bearing supports the clevis end of the hydraulic cylinder, allowing the cylinder to pivot as the linkage articulates during operation. It is a sealed (2RS) type, which retains factory lubrication and excludes contaminants from the rolling interface. A worn bearing introduces free play at the cylinder mount, leading to imprecise implement control and accelerated seal wear on the rod. The manufacturer machines the spherical race to the same internal clearance as the original assembly, so no shimming is required during replacement. On installation, ensure the bearing is pressed squarely into the housing bore and that the retaining circlip is fully seated.
