The share's leading edge penetrates the soil, while its wing shape lifts and inverts the furrow slice against the moldboard behind it. A worn share increases draft force and produces an uneven furrow bottom, reducing residue incorporation and seedbed quality. This component is machined to match the original body geometry, so the bolt holes align with the frog without requiring additional shimming.
