It is mounted on the conveyor pivot, where its three-pin electrical connector sends a continuous signal that the controller uses to regulate conveyor speed and height relative to the header. A failed or intermittent sensor causes erratic conveyor response, leading to material blockages or incorrect header float. The sensor housing and connector are constructed to withstand the vibration and moisture present in the conveyor area. When replacing, ensure the connector is fully seated and the wiring harness is routed away from moving chain drives.
