This bearing housing encloses the support bearing for the grain unloading auger drive shaft. It positions and protects the bearing that carries the radial and axial loads transmitted from the auger drive to the gearbox output. A cracked or worn housing allows bearing misalignment, leading to shaft wobble and premature seal failure in the gearbox. The housing is machined to match the original bearing seat and bolt pattern, so no shimming or adapter plates are needed during replacement. On reinstall, clean the mating face and apply thread-locking compound to the mounting bolts.
