This rubber strip seals the gap between the threshing drum and the concave assembly in the parent combine. It prevents grain loss by redirecting material back into the threshing path instead of allowing it to bypass the separation zone. A worn or torn strip causes increased grain loss out of the rear of the machine. The strip is installed along the full width of the threshing mechanism and must be replaced when it shows cracking or compression set. On reinstall, ensure the strip sits flush against the mounting surface to maintain consistent contact pressure.
