This spring tine is a replacement finger for the pickup assembly on a grain harvester header. It mounts on the pickup drum and sweeps crop material from the belt or auger into the feeder house. A broken or bent tine leaves a gap in the pickup pattern, causing material to bunch or plug at the header throat. The tine is formed from flat spring steel with a mounting eye at one end and a curved working tip at the other. On installation, verify the tine is seated fully in its mounting hole and that the retaining clip or bolt is secure.
