This left-side plowshare is the ground-engaging component mounted at the front of the plow body. It cuts a vertical furrow wall and undercuts the soil, separating the furrow slice from the furrow bottom before the moldboard lifts and inverts it. The share is a long, ZX-profile body with four mounting holes; it attaches to the frog or shin of the plow body via tapered screws. Wear on the cutting edge and the wing tip reduces the share's ability to penetrate hard soil and causes a ragged furrow wall, increasing draft force. This replacement share is manufactured to the original profile geometry so it matches the frog's mounting face and the moldboard's leading edge without requiring shimming. When installing, clean the mounting face of the frog and torque the tapered screws to the specified value.
