This spring pin is a cylindrical fastener designed to join two or more components in a tillage machine assembly. It is driven into a pre-drilled hole and holds its position through radial spring tension, allowing it to absorb vibration and shear loads without loosening. A worn or corroded pin can allow play between the connected parts, leading to accelerated wear of the mounting holes. On installation, ensure the pin is driven fully into the bore and that its ends are flush with or slightly below the surrounding surface.
