This steering rod end connects the steering linkage to the front axle steering knuckle on the host tractor. It converts rotational input from the drag link into linear motion that pivots the wheel assembly. The ball joint within the housing allows angular misalignment while transmitting steering forces. Wear in the ball socket produces free play at the steering wheel and uneven tire contact. This replacement part is machined to the same taper and thread dimensions as the original assembly, so no adapter sleeves or shims are required during installation. Tighten the castle nut to specification and install a new cotter pin.
