This reinforced point, or dziób, is the leading tip of a cultivator tine. It penetrates and fractures the soil ahead of the shank, reducing draft force on the tine assembly. The part is the primary wear interface between the tool and the soil; a dull or worn point increases fuel consumption and leaves a poorly fractured seedbed. The original manufacturer machines the mounting holes to match the tine’s bolt pattern so the point seats flush against the shank face. When reinstalling, tighten the retaining bolts to the specified torque.
