Mann Filter - WK8161 - Fuel Change Filter

This fuel filter with an integrated water separator removes particulate and water from the diesel supply before fuel reaches the high-pressure injection pump. It mounts in the fuel line between the tank and the lift pump; the water-separator bowl collects free water droplets that settle out of the fuel, preventing them from entering the injection system. A clogged filter element restricts fuel flow and causes power loss or hard starting, while accumulated water in the separator bowl can promote injector corrosion if not drained. The manufacturer machines the sealing surfaces and thread geometry to match the original filter head, ensuring the bypass valve seats correctly and no unfiltered fuel bypasses the element. On replacement, drain the water bowl and verify the seal ring is seated before tightening the housing.
