This seeding disc meters individual corn kernels from the seed hopper into the delivery tube. It rotates beneath the seed reservoir, and each of its cavities picks up a single kernel before releasing it at the drop point. The hole diameter and cavity count determine the seed spacing for the given crop. A worn or damaged disc causes skips or doubles, leading to uneven plant spacing in the row. This component is machined to the original profile so it seats correctly in the metering housing without modifying the seed singulation geometry.
