This subsoiler chisel is the original replacement part for the leg assembly of a chisel plow. It is the component that fractures and loosens compacted soil layers below the normal tillage depth. The chisel mounts to the plow frame via two mounting holes; the spacing between these holes matches the original bracket to maintain the correct working angle. A worn or bent chisel reduces penetration depth and causes uneven soil fracture, leaving hardpan intact. As an original part, the shank profile and mounting geometry are machined to the same specifications as the factory assembly, so no shimming or bracket modification is required during installation.
