This pick-up assembly mounts on the header of a combine harvester and gathers the crop material from the windrow, feeding it onto the conveyor behind it. It rotates in a fixed position relative to the header frame, and its tines engage the swath to lift it without excessive soil pickup. Wear on the tines or the cam track reduces pick-up efficiency and can cause material to be left in the field. The manufacturer machines the cam followers and tine mounts to the same geometry as the original assembly, so the pick-up timing remains consistent with the header's feed rate. On reinstallation, verify that the tine clearance to the header floor is set to the specification for the host machine.
