This ball bearing supports the rotating shafts and pulleys within the cleaning system of the parent combine. It is a single-row, deep-groove bearing with contact seals on both sides, which retain lubricant and exclude fine dust and chaff. The bearing carries radial and moderate axial loads from the cleaning fan or shaker drive. A worn bearing produces audible rumble or vibration during operation, which reduces cleaning efficiency and can damage the shaft housing. SKF manufactures this bearing to the same internal clearance and seal geometry as the original assembly, so it fits the existing bore without shimming. When replacing, inspect the housing bore for fretting and clean the seal contact surface before pressing the bearing into place.
